The Food Bank located at First Baptist Church of Jefferson, Georgia is a ministry to the hungry people of Jackson County.

When is the food bank open?
The food bank's hours of operation are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday of each week (except for some holidays) from 1:00 - 3:00 in the afternoon.
Am I eligible to receive food from the food bank?
To receive food you must be able to show evidence of residence in Jackson County, Georgia and you must provide a picture I.D. If you do not have a picture I.D., please ask at the desk about alternate identification procedures.
Where is the food bank located?
The food bank is located in the fellowship hall area of the First Baptist Church of Jefferson, Georgia. The street address is 246 Washington Street. Washington Street is also Business 129. We are located a few blocks west of downtown Jefferson. From Washington Street turn onto Institute Street (just west of the church) and go to the unpaved parking lot behind the church. The entrance to the food bank is between the two buildings to the right in the basement of the main church building.
How can I volunteer to serve in the food bank?
Volunteers are carefully screened before they may serve in the food bank. For more information, please call the church office at 706-367-8332 and leave your name and phone number. Then, the food bank ministry leaders will be able to contact you. Please note that recipients of food services may not volunteer until they are no longer receiving food.
How can I donate food to the food bank?
Please call the church office at 706-367-8332 to arrange for a time and place to drop off your food contribution. Of course, all food donations must be non-perishables.
How can I contribute money to the food bank?
Please make your check out to the First Baptist Church of Jefferson. In the memo line, please designate the contribution to the Food Bank. You may mail the check to the church at P.O. Box 395, Jefferson, GA 30549 or you may drop the contribution by the church office during regular office hours.
