Children's Ministry
Children are a vital part of the church family.
Our children's ministry team strives to provide a nurturing, engaging, faith-building, and safe environment for your kids. Discovery is a key term at this stage in your child's faith development. Elementary-aged children are forming concrete-operational thinking, allowing them to start making moral judgments. Children are discovering that they have a personal faith and the Bible offers great wisdom and they can use in daily life.
Our mission is to partner with families to teach our children about God's Word, nurture their spiritual growth, and guide them to look to God to make wise choices. FBC Jefferson wants each child to know:
1. God created the world. God moves the world. God moves in the world.
2. God loves me and is with me everywhere I go.
3. Jesus is our Savior and shows the entire world how much God loves us.
4. My relationship with God, Jesus, and the Bible can help us make wise choices.
5. My family needs to talk about faith at home.
We realize that these goals cannot be met by the church alone. Parents and caregivers of children are vital for a child's faith development. First Baptist Church seeks to partner with parents and families to encourage children to love and live in Christ. We fully support parental efforts to pray, read scripture and talk about faith with their children.
Our children's programming is merely a tool we use to help children along their faith journey. Please use the links to the left to find more information about the various children's programs we offer.
