Justin Speaks...

At FBC Jefferson we believe youth are an essential part of the church.  Their presences is a blessing to all those around them.  Their character, morals, and faith are in a process of formation and as such, need a strong faith community surrounding them.  We strive for that community.  We seek to encourage, strengthen, heal, teach, and love them.  We welcome all youth to come join us and be members of our faith community as we continue to seek God’s Kingdom.

Our goals are to “Do what is fair and just to our neighbors, be compassionate and loyal in our love, and not taking ourselves too seriously- taking only God seriously” (Micah 6:8).  We share in each other’s triumphs and struggles and seek Christ in our lives.  Yes, we make mistakes, but through the grace of God we find redemption and constantly strive to be more like Jesus.

The overall goal of the youth ministry is not to just have good kids, but to have youth who understand the importance of a lifelong committed relationship with Jesus Christ- to have a passion for their Lord.  We want the youth that graduate from here to know they are made special by God and for God's purpose.  So, we are working together to further God’s Kingdom and be faithful disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ.
