March Missions Madness

March Missions Madness

March Madness

March Mission Madness involves church youth groups gathering at a host church and gathering for a well-rounded and intense weekend of  service, worship, fellowship, food, and fun!  As the name indicates, the weekend takes place during the month of March each year.

The term “madness” is used because youth groups receive wristbands on Friday night (i.e. three red, three blue, etc), and group members are thereby intermingled to serve on different mission sites. So a youth group of fifteen people will serve on four or five mission sites along with members of other church groups.  This mixed-up madness process allows each church youth group to experience a number of different service opportunities, as they mix, mingle, and make new friends.

Each weekend promises to be memorable, meaningful, and transformational with the key purposes of “loving God” and “loving neighbor” in community with other Christians for the good of God’s mission. The madness further purposes to provide opportunities for faith formation and the cultivation of life-long mission service habits.

We believe it's important for our teenagers to have opportunities to do mission work, see other teenagers doing mission work, and have opportunities to mix and mingle with other Baptist Christians from around the state.

This event is sponsored by the Georgia Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.
