Family Ministry

Preschool Ministry          Children's Ministry          Youth Ministry

The average church has less than 50 hours a year to influence a child; the average parent has 3,000!1

Sunday school lessons, Christian camps, Vacation Bible Schools, Mission Trips and Youth Groups alone cannot transform our children and youth into the faithful Christian adults we hope them to become.  The church needs a helping hand…the church needs lots of helping hands to guide the world’s next generation.

Family ministry at First Baptist Church requires many hands to come together to raise a child in Christ. First, we encourage parents to take a hands-on approach to their child’s faith formation, for they are the greatest influence on their children.  Second, we inspire other faith-influencing adults to lift up the children with their presence and leadership.  Third, together as parents, children, leaders, and ministers we dedicate all of our hands to the service of our community through creative approaches to sharing the love of Jesus.

The Family Ministry Team at FBC is comprised of the Preschool Director, the Minister to Children, and the Youth Pastor. Together they create a ministry strategy for children ages 0-18.  Using a model that builds upon wonder, discovery and passion, the family ministry team works with parents and other church leaders to create experiences for children and youth that will help them become committed, active followers of Christ and future Christian leaders.
