Kendra was born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She graduated from Leesburg High School, Leesburg, Florida in 1989 and attended Toccoa Falls College, Toccoa Falls, Georgia, where she received her BS degree in Family Ministries: Children with a minor in Early Childhood Education. She is in the process of working on her Masters in Early Childhood Education through Piedmont College.
Children's ministry has been a part of Kendra's life since high school. She has been involved with Vacation Bible School and Backyard Bible Clubs and has taught Sunday School classes of all ages. She has also been on several mission trips both local and foriegn. She worked at Banks County Upper Elementary School as a Special Education Paraprofessional and in 2005 served as Interim Children’s Minister for First Baptist Jefferson.
Kendra accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior in 1987 and felt God’s calling her toward Children’s Ministry while working at First Baptist Church in Leesburg, Florida where she was the Assistant Director of the Alpha & Omega Child Care Program.
In 2003, Kendra began teaching at First Baptist Church Preschool and in 2005 became the Preschool Director and in 2008 became the Director of Early Childhood Ministries.
