When is the food bank open?
Monday and Wednesday of each week (except major holidays) from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
 
Am I eligible to receive food from the food bank?
You must be able to show proof of residence in Jackson County, Georgia and provide a picture I.D. If you do not have a picture I.D., please ask at the desk about alternate identification procedures.
 
Where is the food bank located?
The food bank is located in the church’s Student Center (76 Institute St.). We are a few blocks north of downtown Jefferson. Park in the unpaved parking lot behind the main church building. Recipients should come to the front entrance of the Student Center building first.
 
How can I volunteer to serve in the food bank?
Volunteers are carefully screened before they may serve in the food bank. For more information, please call the church office at 706-367-8332 and leave your name and phone number. Then, the food bank ministry leaders will be able to contact you. Please note that recipients of food services may not volunteer until they are no longer receiving food.
 
How can I donate food to the food bank?
Please call the church office at 706-367-8332 to arrange for a time and place to drop off your food contribution. Of course, all food donations must be non-perishable.
 
How can I contribute money to the food bank?
Please make checks payable to the First Baptist Church of Jefferson. In the memo line, please designate the contribution to the Food Bank. You may mail the check to the church at PO Box 395, Jefferson, GA 30549 or you may drop the contribution by the church office during regular office hours.
