WEEKDAY PRESCHOOL

Welcome to our Weekday Preschool Program!

Preschool Director: Katie Fulcher

Mission Statement:

The preschool has been an outreach ministry of First Baptist Church of Jefferson since 1979. It is our mission to provide the preschool learner
with a developmentally appropriate and creative environment which seeks to meet the needs of the whole learner. This will be done in a Christian environment in which the learner may grow spiritually, socially, physically, emotionally, and mentally.

First Baptist Preschool is a member of the Georgia Preschool Association

You may contact the Weekday Preschool office at (706) 367-5226 or by e-mailing us. For directions click here.

PASTOR’S MOMENT:

According to Thom Rainer’s book “The Unchurched Next Door,” an astounding 82% of people who are invited by a friend to an Easter service will attend. Easter affords Christians an opportunity to invite people to church services and church events with little resistance. During the Easter season, people are generally more open and receptive.

I encourage you over the next few weeks to look for opportunities to invite friends, family, and coworkers to attend an Easter service. Easter gives us a great chance to invite people when they are the most receptive and to also invite them to one of the most gospel-heavy services on the church calendar. Join me in praying for who God would have you invite.

In His Service,

Matt

MINISTRY & MISSION OPPORTUNITIES:

Adult Choir: The Adult Choir rehearses each Wednesday in the choir room across from the Children’s Suite at 6:00 pm to prepare for each Sunday’s anthem. If you enjoy singing, please join us.

Children’s Ministries: March Children in Action: This month during Children in Action the children will learn about Aimee Stucke, Geneva Initiative Coordinator for the Send Relief Boston. They will discover how Aimee recruits, trains, and helps churches and volunteers care for and support refugees resettling in the Greater Boston Area. Children will learn about the resurrection of Jesus and how Easter celebrates God’s faithfulness. They will learn about the Annie Armstrong Easter offering and be challenged to pray and give. We will learn the Bible verse Luke 24:6. Our March “Egg-Cellent” Mission Project will be to encourage our church members to give to the Annie Armstrong offering. Children will pass out plastic eggs filled with the name of a missionary in it. They will ask that you pray and return it with an offering inside to the Easter Basket in the vestibule.

We still need about 600 candy filled Easter Eggs for our upcoming egg hunt on Sunday March 24th! Please bring eggs and candy to the church office, or, if you’d like, you can fill the eggs with candy and deliver to the church office! All donations are much appreciated. Deadline to bring eggs to the church office is Wednesday, March 20th. For questions, please call Teresa Wood in the church office.

Connect Run/Walk Group: Connect is for anyone interested in running/walking with others to grow and improve spiritually and physically, and to follow the teachings of the Lord. Join us and bring a friend for our Christian fellowship. Water, Gatorade, & fruit will be provided after our run/walk. We will support you physically, mentally, and most of all spiritually while walking, running, or sometimes trotting. Everyone in our church and community is invited.  We will have a small devotion, prayer concerns and praises.  We are open to suggestions of different routes or changes needed. Just let us know.
