At the beginning of our worship service everyone will be given a prayer commitment card; this is an opportunity for all of us to make a commitment to pray for our Pastor Search Committee, Personnel Committee and church during this important time as they are in process of seeking leadership for the church in the days and years to come.

I hope each of you can join us Sunday at 11 AM for worship and 9:45 AM for Sunday School.

In His Love,

Danny Hedgepeth

Your Pastor Search Committee is hard at work in our quest to call a new Senior Pastor to our fellowship. We need your help and support. For that reason, we are asking that each S.S. class, WMU circle, Deacon body, working committee and administrative board join us in an ongoing prayer emphasis.

Here is what we are requesting:

  1. For each group mentioned above, we are asking that you choose one day each week to pray corporately and individually for the committee, as well as for the person God is preparing to lead First Baptist Jefferson. Pray for the family of God’s man, their hearts, their commitment, and their investment in our church’s face in Jefferson.
  2. Prayer concerns could include decisions regarding identifying who we are as a congregation, working through the process of resumes submitted, and actively recruiting prospective candidates.
  3. Pray for the Personnel Committee, Deacon body, and additional staff members as they are brought on site to engage in healthy and beneficial relationships.
  4. Pray for our presence in the community as a body of believers to carry out the task of presenting the gospel message as we go through this transition period.
