Shelby Box has been a valued member of the preschool community since 2019. She began teaching when her first child enrolled in the 2’s class and continued in that role until the birth of her second child in 2021. In the 2025–2026 school year, Shelby returned to the preschool to serve as Assistant Director.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Development from the University of Georgia. Prior to joining the preschool family, she served in a variety of roles within nonprofit organizations, including parental supervised visitation, parenting courses, and training programs. With her educational background and prior experience, Shelby is excited to step into this assistant director role and serve the teachers, children, and families of First Baptist Preschool. She is passionate about teaching the next generation about God’s love and creating a safe, nurturing environment where children can grow and learn.

Shelby grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee, in a close-knit family of six. She has been married to her high school sweetheart, Seth Box, for 11 years, and together they have three boys: Jackson (9), Cameron (5), and William (2). Most evenings, you can find their family at the baseball field. In her free time, Shelby enjoys spending time at the lake, reading, baking sourdough, and being outdoors with her boys.
